PLANTING STEPS
Step 1: Prepare the seeds
Soak bougainvillea seeds in warm water at 30–35°C for 8–12 hours. This process softens the seed coat, improves water absorption, stimulates faster germination.
Step 2: Sow seeds in loose soil
Sow the seeds about 0.5–1 cm deep, cover lightly with soil, and mist gently to maintain even moisture
Step 3: Place in a place with soft light
Place the container in a cool, bright area with indirect sunlight, avoiding harsh direct sun. Keep the soil consistently moist; seedlings will usually sprout within 7–14 days
Step 4: Care & repotting when the plant grows
When seedlings reach 15–20 cm in height with strong root growth, transplant them into larger pots or directly into the garden.

My balcony is quite small, but growing bougainvillea from seeds turned out to be perfect. The vines climbed quickly, the leaves grew thick, and the flowers bloomed in stunning clusters.

This was my first time growing bougainvillea from seeds, and the results exceeded my expectations. The plant clung to the trellis strongly and bloomed earlier than I thought. When in full bloom, my yard is filled with vibrant colors of red, purple, and pink. Everyone who visits my home compliments how lively and peaceful the space feels

Bougainvillea is truly a wonderful feng shui plant. Planted at the front gate, it’s not only beautiful but also gives a sense of peace. The seeds are easy to germinate, the plants are strong, and pests are rarely a problem. I believe thanks to this plant, my family’s business has been smoother, and the home atmosphere feels warmer and happier.

I planted bougainvillea seeds in my backyard, and they started germinating in just over 10 days. The seedlings grew evenly, not picky about soil, and only needed light watering every day.
